External hdd enclosure is used for portable data solutions. As the rapid growth of the internet and multimedia, more and more people will meet the problems of the huge capacity of the data exchange, when you face the large quantities of the data, no doubt the hard disk is the best carrier for the data storage, however, the normal hard disk has to be built in the cabinet, also it has installed the operation system, so it cannot be easy to move. The external hdd enclosure can protect the hard disk in the physical way, at the same time, we can use the mobile connection way with the hard disk drive, and the external hdd enclosures can achieve the function of the mobile hard disk drive.


There are three mainstream types external hdd enclosures in the market nowadays. They are USB external hard disk drive enclosure, SATA external hard disk drive enclosure and IEEE1394 external hard disk drive enclosures. According to the size of hard disk drive enclosure, the hard disk drive enclosures can be divided into 2.5 inch type, 3.5 inch type, and 5.25 inch type.
